The way we work...
The preamble to our bylaws states, "The principal purpose of First Baptist Church of Fayetteville is to glorify God and His Son, Jesus Christ, in everything it does. The Church upholds the Bible as the Word of God and follows scripture’s commands regarding its purpose and mission. As Apostle Paul instructed the Corinthian church, "Let all things be done decently and in order" (1 Cor. 14:40), these Bylaws are established to ensure the decency and order of this local church."
We believe that the Holy Spirit works in the body of the local church to direct us in the way we need to go, given that the body of believers is submitted to the Word of God and the Spirit's leading in accordance with God's revealed will.
To be a member of First Baptist Church means that you are committed to submitting to the truth of Scripture and the leadership of the Spirit as we collectively strive to glorify God in our community and beyond.
