The way we work...
As our Constitution and Bylaws state, "The government of the church is vested in the body of believers who compose it and is subject to the control of no other civil or ecclesiastical body." (Article IV) This simply means that our church is governed by its members. We believe that the Holy Spirit works in the body of the local church to direct us in the way we need to go, given that the body of believers is submitted to the Word of God and the Spirit's leading in accordance with God's revealed will.
To be a member of First Baptist Church means that you are committed to submitting to the truth of Scripture and the leadership of the Spirit as we collectively strive to glorify God in our community and beyond.
